Lures can be used to imitate the deer food source or that of a doe in heat for instance. There are some great ebooks online where hunters can learn all about deer hunting experiences, tips and secrets too. Should the safety fail, it is much safer to have the gun misfire where no one will be hit.

There's so much more to deer hunting tactics and methods but these tips are a start. After all, you will be doing all your raccoon hunting at night because that is when the animal is most active.
